Arthur (Art) Mann serves as administrator for the Hillsboro Economic Development Corporation (HEDC). The Hill County native joined the HEDC staff in September 2014 after working 33 years in the newspaper and radio business with The Reporter Newspaper and 1560 KHBR Radio in Hillsboro. Board of Directors

The Hillsboro Economic Development Corporation is governed by a seven-member board of directors who serve two-year terms at the will and pleasure of the Hillsboro City Council. They are Natasha Sawyer-president, Marc Young-vice president, Kennie Nowlin-secretary/treasurer, Amy Fuchs, Bill Siddons III, Jack Gannon and Mike McDonald.

 

About Hillsboro, Texas EDC

Hillsboro Economic Development Corporation is a Type A corporation under Texas law, which is supported by a one-eighth cent sales tax collected by the City of Hillsboro. The corporation’s primarily purpose is industrial recruitment and retention. Type A revenue can be used to fund buildings, land, equipment and targeted infrastructure. The corporation was approved by Hillsboro voters in 1992.
